Better results through Prompt Engineering
The quality of an answer is always directly dependent on the quality of your input ("Garbage in, Garbage out"). With the right structure, you force the AI to break out of its superficial statistics bubble.
The Google Method
Google outlines professional prompt engineering into four essential building blocks. An ideal prompt should incorporate all of these aspects:
1. Persona (Role)
Give the AI an exact identity. "Act as an experienced Senior Developer" or "You are a critical copy editor". This drastically narrows down the models' statistical solution space.
2. Task
Formulate the task precisely and actively. Instead of "Write something about AI" use "Summarize the core risks of Artificial Intelligence in 3 bullet points".
3. Context
The model does not know your daily reality. Provide background knowledge. (Example: "The target audience of my text are beginners with no technical prior knowledge who are afraid for their jobs.")
4. Format & Tone
Specify how the output should be formatted (Table, Bullet points, Markdown) and what tone you desire (Professional, empathetic, humorous).

1. The Problem Solver (All-round Analysis)
Use the First-Principles method to break down complex problems into their individual parts and develop a clear solution approach.
Act as an experienced systems analyst and management consultant.

[TASK]
Please analyze the problem using the First-Principles method. Break the problem down into its fundamental truths and build a proposed solution from there. Show me potential pitfalls and alternative perspectives.

Provide the answer as an easy-to-read table, followed by a short summary in an objective and solution-oriented tone.
2. The Critical Editor (Feedback)
Have your draft text ruthlessly checked for logic, style, and weaknesses, rather than just having it rewritten.
You are an extremely critical and detail-oriented Editor-in-Chief at a leading quality newspaper.
